How to Style: Summer to Fall Outfit

Happy happy Sunday!! I hope this weekend has treated you all well! It is finally starting to feel like fall here in Dallas! A good high of 88 degrees everyday this week and I’ve started busting out my sweaters and denim lol. This week I am going to be sharing my go-to outfit for when it is still a bit too warm to fully dive into a fall wardrobe.

I have always loved button down blouses since my junior year in high school when I wore the same blue button down about every day ahahaha and I still won’t get rid of it! Button downs are easy as a basic t-shirt but elevate an outfit so much more. I have more recently been finding soo many nice button down tops with the most amazing and light weight material at places like Nordstrom Rack and Marshalls (score)! Light weight button down tops are the perfect Summer > Fall essential because the lightweight material will keep you cool and the long/rolled sleeves are great for cooler mornings and nights.

Denim will forever be, without a doubt, a staple piece for the fall season. Denim is just a classic all year round honestly. But when it is still too warm out to be covering up your legs with a heavy denim fabric, a denim skirt is the perfect alternative.

Side note: I have been on the hunt for the perfect denim skirt for I don’t even know how long (as if y’all haven’t heard me talk about it before) and look!! I found one!! Yes this was a 2am impulse buy and yes I was incredible nervous before getting it in the mail because I had finally made the plunge and I did not want to be let down again. It fits so well (as long as I wear a belt which is fine I <3 belts) and is the perfect wash an distress!

I have to stop myself from wearing different versions of this outfit and the same button down blouses repeatedly, I just can’t get enough!

I could not find this exact button down blouse online because I picked it up at marshals but here are a few similar:

Best wishes to a spectacular week ahead for you all!!
