Fall Florals and Being Thankful
Hi there! I hope you all had the best week. I have been working hard on blog content, school work, and catching up on chores around the house! Finals are coming up and I want to try to get ahead of everything before my classes start getting crazy. Thanksgiving was soo nice and well spent with Nathan’s family and then he wanted to go shopping on Black Friday ahahaha. This was the first year in so long that I have not been working retail and it was nice to not have to work Black Friday but of course I can’t stay away from the stores! We ended up getting everyones Christmas gifts and had a really successful shopping trip and a big plate of cheese fries after to reward ourselves for standing in the long lines ahaha!
This week I wanted to share with you a dress that I got at Zara a couple weeks ago!
I am heading to NYC in a couple weeks and have a few meetings planned so I wanted some dresses that would look professional but still keep me warm.
When I saw this dress on the Zara website, I knew it would be such a good buy and immediately ordered it! When it comes to fast fashion shops, florals can be a huge hit or miss (and more commonly a miss). I love florals and I think they can be a fabulous fall print, when done correctly.
At fast fashion stores, floral prints can often be found very small and poorly designed which in turn makes the print look busy and the garment look cheap. Now I am not saying micro-florals are ALWAYS poorly designed because they were a huge hit this past summer and that trend will continue into spring of 2018. I am saying that micro-florals with dark, autumnal colors are busy and not typically a win.
With this specific dress, I think the print is absolutely beautiful and the colors are brilliant. Further, the style of this dress is perfect for dressing professional in cold weather. The ruching at the waist, sleeves, and neckline really flatters the silhouette and the long sleeves and high neck allow me to wear a thin knit underneath to keep extra warm.
I can not wait to wear this dress in NYC and to share so many outfit photos with you all!

Now, with Thanksgiving just passing by and spending the week recognizing what I am grateful for, I wanted to share with y’all a few moments that I have been thankful for and was lucky enough to photograph this year.
I can not say one thing that I am most thankful for because I am thankful for a number of things each and every day! I will say, I am enormously thankful for the opportunities that I have been presented with and the people that have supported me to pursue my blog more and more. I am proud of every decision that I have made this past year to better this blog and I am grateful for the future that I have planned for Christina Rose.
I am thankful thankful thankful for each and every one of you. My readers, my friends, my family, my people- you keep me going.
